Health Bridge · Effective 31 October 2026
Your data stays under your control. Health Bridge stores photos and selected Health exports in the app’s private storage. Google Drive backup is optional and uses the account and folders you choose.
Information the app accesses
Health Bridge reads the Apple Health categories you select and authorize. These can include sleep, weight, steps, active energy, exercise minutes, walking/running distance and workouts. It uses these records to prepare your selected Health export files.
The app uses the camera to take progress photos. Imports from Photos use Apple’s system picker and access only the images you explicitly select. New camera captures are not added to your system Photos library. Local photo records can include capture time, pose and a previously recorded body-weight measurement.
Local storage
Original images, derived review images, Health exports and the upload queue are stored in the app’s private container. Original images and exports are excluded from device backup. Source images selected for import remain in your system photo library; importing them does not remove copies held by Photos or other services.
Optional Google Drive backup
When you sign in and enable backup, Health Bridge uploads retained photos and selected Health exports to the Drive account and folders you choose. Enabling backup can include files already retained locally.
Health Bridge requests Google’s drive.file scope. This permits access to files the app creates and existing files or folders you explicitly authorize for use with the app. It uses authorized file metadata to locate destinations, update its exports, check for missing backups and avoid unintended duplicates.
Google sign-in is handled by Google’s authorization flow. Access and refresh tokens are stored in the iPhone Keychain so enabled backups can run without sign-in for each upload. Health Bridge does not receive your Google password.
Cloud photo copies retain capture time and orientation while removing location and other private source metadata. Source image bytes remain local. Your Drive folder-sharing settings determine who else can access files in those folders.
Use and sharing
Health Bridge uses Health records, photos, Drive metadata and authorization tokens only to provide the capture, export and backup features you enable. It has no advertising or analytics integration and does not sell this information. Its use of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Google Drive and Apple services also apply their own privacy policies.
An optional external plan page in the app is a separate website. Its operator’s privacy policy applies to that page. Health Bridge does not provide it with native access to your Health records, private photos or Google authorization tokens.
Retention and deletion
Local files are retained until explicitly removed or the app is deleted. Successful uploads do not automatically delete local originals. Deleting a photo through Delete from app removes its local record, tracked local files and queued transfers; it does not remove copies already in Drive or the source image in Photos.
Disabling backup pauses uploads. Disconnecting Google Drive removes the app’s saved Google credentials. You can also revoke access through your Google Account and delete cloud copies in Drive. Revoking Apple Health access stops future reads of the affected categories. Deleting the app removes its local container; reinstalling does not automatically restore it from Drive.
